Herbed Garlic Bread

Food processor? Check. If not, blender or good ol’ cutting board and knife will do. Fresh parsley? Yes, I mean that whole bunch of fresh herbs that are only $.49. Check. Butter? Duh. Ciabatta? Of course. I’m always down for good bread.

I once heard Rachael Ray say that Parsley was grassy. Well, the verdict is that she was right. It is grassy. But in a strangely delicious kind of way. It’s fragrant and fresh, and this bread will go with many a dish. This bread will take you places.

Herbed Garlic Bread

1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley

1 garlic clove

1 stick butter, room temperature

salt and pepper

1 loaf ciabatta bread, cut in half horizontally

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Toss parsley, and garlic in food processor and finely chop. Add butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper, and puree until smooth. Shmear on bread halves, sandwich together, wrap in foil and bake about 15 minutes in oven.
